Equity Bank Uganda Limited (EBUL) is a subsidiary of the Kenya-based Equity Group Holdings, one of East Africa’s largest financial services conglomerates. The bank was formed in 2008 when Equity Group acquired Uganda Microfinance Limited, relaunching under the Equity brand in March 2009. Its headquarters and main branch are located at Janani Luwum Church House, 34 Kampala Road, in Kampala’s central business district.
