What You Need

A relevant base driving licence
Tractor-specific driving school training where required
Passed theory and practical test on a tractor or agricultural vehicle

Rural Operators, Take Note

Class G matters most for commercial agricultural operations moving tractors and trailers between farms or on public roads, rather than for purely off-road, on-farm use. If your tractor never leaves private land, you may not need this licence at all — but the moment it travels on a public road, the Class G requirement applies. Class G's fee structure is identical to Kenya's other specialised classes, so cost isn't the limiting factor — access to tractor-specific training in your area is more likely to be the practical hurdle.
