What Makes Upperhill Blueberry Hotel Stand Out

Upper Hill has transformed rapidly over the past decade into one of Nairobi's leading business districts, home to major corporate headquarters, embassies, and increasingly, upscale hotels. Upperhill Blueberry Hotel sits within this landscape but offers a genuinely different pace — a garden and terrace setting that gives guests somewhere to unwind after a day spent among the district's towering office blocks. The hotel's spa services are a standout feature for a property in this price bracket. Guests can book onsite massages, a rarity among two-star hotels, and the hair salon adds a further layer of personal care service not commonly found at this level. The terrace and garden provide a genuinely pleasant outdoor space, and the property's location, about 20 minutes on foot from the center of Nairobi, keeps guests within reasonable reach of the CBD without the noise and congestion of being directly in it. Rooms at Upperhill Blueberry include a balcony and a sitting area, along with ironing facilities and air conditioning — practical touches for business travelers who need to look sharp for meetings. Bathrooms vary between tub and walk-in shower configurations depending on the room, and most come with a separate toilet, dryers, and towels as standard. Flat-screen televisions with satellite channels are included throughout, and city views are available from many of the rooms, giving guests a sense of Nairobi's skyline even from a relatively modest property. High-speed WiFi is available throughout the hotel, and the front desk operates 24 hours, ready to assist with everything from local recommendations to transport arrangements. A lounge bar on-site gives guests a place to relax with a drink, and the hotel is just a seven-minute walk from Upperhill Springs, a nearby bar that adds to the evening options available to guests without needing to travel into the CBD. Location-wise, Upperhill Blueberry Hotel puts guests within a 15-minute drive of Uhuru Park and Nairobi Hospital, and within two kilometers of both Kenya Railway Golf Club and Central Park. The Nairobi National Museum is roughly ten minutes away by car, and The Bomas of Kenya — a popular cultural venue showcasing traditional music and dance — is about seven kilometers from the property. The KCB/Equity bus stop sits just steps from the hotel, giving budget travelers an easy way to get around the city without relying on taxis. Dry-cleaning and laundry services round out the practical offerings, and the hotel's 24-hour front desk and restaurant give guests the flexibility to eat and manage their stay on their own schedule. For business travelers working in Upper Hill's growing corporate district who want a quieter, more personal alternative to the area's larger hotels — and who appreciate having a spa treatment or haircut just steps from their room — Upperhill Blueberry Hotel offers a distinctive and genuinely relaxing option.
