How to update directors details in KRA PIN for new company

Updating directors' details in a KRA PIN for a new company is a key step during PIN amendment, especially after conversion from a business name. This ensures tax authorities reflect current leadership and ownership.

Access iTax Portal

Log into itax.kra.go.ke using the company's existing PIN and password. Go to "Registration" > "Amend PIN Details" and select "Online Form" for non-individuals.

Select Directors Section

Tick the "Directors/Associates" box among sections to amend (alongside Basic Information if needed). The portal displays current officials from the old setup.

Update Director Details

  • Remove outgoing directors: De-select sole proprietor or prior officials.

  • Add new directors: Enter each one's full name, KRA PIN, ID/passport number, shareholding percentage, email, and phone. All directors must have active individual KRA PINs.

Ensure details match BRS records exactly to avoid rejection.

Upload these in PDF format (under 5MB):
